Frequently Asked Questions
Lashes
Q: I have done extensions/lash loift/brow lami before. Do I need a patch test?
A: I recommend all new clients to book a patch test/consultation. Each lash salon uses different products and you never know what you might react to. You have an option to sign the consent form.
Q: How long do they last?
A: Typically 3–5 weeks depending on your natural lash growth cycle and care, with infills recommended every 3 weeks. *Infills are available up to 4 weeks. For lash lift, usually lasts 4-7 weeks. I recommend making at least 5 weeks gap in between lifts.
Q: Will it hurt?
A: No, the procedure is painless. You will have your eyes closed, and you should not feel any stinging or pulling if applied correctly. If your eyes are sensitive, you may feel a little singling during lash lift or brow lami.
Q: How long is the appointment?
A: A full set usually takes between 95 and 120 minutes, depending on the style you choose. a half set takes between 70 and 85 minutes. Lash lift takes between 60 and 80 minutes. Brow lami takes between 45 and 70 minutes.
Q: How to prepare?
A: Arrive with no eye makeup, remove contact lenses, and avoid curling your lashes beforehand.
Q: Can I get them wet?
A: You must avoid water, steam, saunas, and washing for at least the first 24 hours to allow the adhesive (or lash lift/brow lami) to fully set.
Q: Can I wear mascara?
A: It is generally recommended to avoid it. If necessary, use only oil-free mascara, never waterproof, as oil breaks down the adhesive. Japanese mascara serum (extensions compatible) is avaialble to purchase at our salon. For lash lift, you can wear mascara afetr 24 hours, however, I would still recommend to avoid waterproof mascara.
Q: Will they damage my natural lashes?
A: No, not if applied correctly. Your natural lashes will still go through their normal shedding cycle.
Q: Can I wear contact lenses?
A: You cannot wear them during the application, but you can wear them immediately after.
Q: How to sleep?
A: Try to sleep on your back, not on your stomach or side, to avoid bending or losing extensions on your pillow.

Semi-permanent Makeup
Q: Does it hurt?
A: Most clients describe the sensation as light scratching or pressure rather than intense pain. Topical numbing creams are applied before and during the procedure to ensure comfort.
Q: How long is the healing process?
A: Surface healing takes about 7–10 days, during which you may experience mild swelling, tenderness, and flaking. Full internal healing and "true" color settlement take 4–6 weeks.
Q: Why does the color look so dark initially?
A: For the first 4–10 days, the color will appear 30%–40% darker than the final desired result. This intensity fades as the skin heals over the pigment.
Q: How does skin type affect results?
A: Oily skin tends to metabolise pigment faster, meaning crisp hair strokes (like microblading) may blur over time or require more frequent touch-ups compared to dry skin.
Q: Who should avoid it?
A: You are generally not a candidate if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking certain medications like blood thinners.
Q: What should I avoid before the appointment?
A: You should avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen) for at least 24–48 hours prior, as they can cause excessive bleeding and poor pigment retention.
Q: Are touch-ups necessary?
A: Yes. A follow-up "perfecting" session is usually required 4–8 weeks after the first appointment to fill any gaps or adjust the color.
Q: Can I wear regular makeup after?
A: You should wait at least 5–7 days before applying makeup near the treated area to avoid infection.
Q:How long is the appontment?
A: The first apponitmet will take between 120 and 180 minutes. A touch up usually takes between 60 and 120 minutes.
Q: Can I get botox or filler?
A: Please avoid these treatments 2 weeks before and after the apponiment.
Q: Can I exercise during healing?
A: It is best to avoid heavy, sweat-inducing exercise for 7–10 days. Sweat contains salt, which can prematurely fade or pull pigment out of the skin before it has settled.
